1.How may I submit my application?

Applications should be submitted through the FLUIDOS Open Call platform. Following the provision of essential information, applicants can procure the application documents for offline completion. These finalized documents are subsequently to be uploaded onto the platform for submission, thereby concluding the application process.

2. Who is eligible to apply?

The comprehensive eligibility criteria are outlined in the Applicant Guidelines. In summary, the application is open to European researchers, companies, and developers.

3. Who can form Consortia for the Use Case Grants?

Consortia can be formed of two or three different entities. The requirement to form a consortia is that one of the partners must be an industrial entity i.e an SME or a larger company. Two research institutions cannot form a consortia together without an industrial partner. It is not required to form a consortia to apply for the Use Case grant, however. Individual applications are accepted, from industry or research organisations.

4. When is the application deadline?

The application deadline is scheduled for the 4th of October 2024 at 17:00 CEST. Applications received after this time will not be considered.

5. Are UK entities permitted to apply?

As per the regulations of Horizon Europe, the funding source for these grants, UK entities are ineligible to apply.

6. Who are FLUIDOS Champions?

FLUIDOS Champions are FLUIDOS partners that who are available to review a draft application form and provide feedback before it is submitted. This service is not available in the final week of the application period.

7. Am I eligible to apply for the UCG grant during the second Open Call if my proposal was not chosen in the first Open Call?

Yes, applicants can apply during the second Open Call, but it is essential to indicate that the submission is a resubmission. Additionally, it is mandatory to provide a clear explanation outlining the improvements made to the proposal.

8.  If I received a Technology Extension Grant in the first Open Call, can I still apply for a Use Case Grant in the second Open Call?

No, it is not possible to apply for a Use Case Grant grant during the second Open Call if you were previously selected for a Technology Extension Grant. This is because the European Commission places limits of the amount of funding entities are able to receive through FSTP.

9. How many applications will be funded?

5 applications will be selected for funding.
